Course description
Join Jess O’Kane – award-nominated writer of the forthcoming feature Bad Apples, starring four-time Oscar nominee Saoirse Ronan – for an eight-week course exploring the art and technique of screenwriting. On Writing For The Screen you'll study the central elements of the craft – from storylining to world-building, character development to dialogue – while developing and receiving feedback on your own work in progress from your fellow group members and the course tutor, all in a welcoming and supportive workshop environment. The course is suitable for those working in any form, including TV and short and feature-length films, and for both experienced writers and those at the very beginning of their screenwriting journey, though participants should be ready to devote substantial time to both their own writing practice and preparation for the workshop sessions during the eight-week programme.
